If you are looking for a comfortable and friendly bed and breakfast, in beautiful surroundings, then look no further. Moat Edge is positioned adjacent to an historical 1,000 year old moat and motte. The peaceful, private garden offers the opportunity to unwind over a cup of tea.

Situated close to the centre of Eardisland, arguably one of the prettiest villages in Herefordshire, you are just a couple of minutes walk from the Georgian Dovecote, beautiful Norman church of St Mary the Virgin and the meandering River Arrow with it's chocolate box views of the ancient stone bridge.

Two well run public houses, offering an excellent range of home-cooked food and real ales, can be found within a short walk, but if out after dark please remember a torch as there is no street lighting!

Eardisland is on the Black and White Trail and boasts many historic homes, some dating back to the 14th Century. The emphasis at Moat Edge is on peace and quiet and it is ideally suited to those looking for a relaxing break combined with sightseeing, walking, cycling, fishing, golf or bird watching or visiting one of the many festivals the area has to offer, whilst for flying enthusiasts, Shobdon light airfield is just ten minutes drive away.

Upon your arrival, your hosts, Phil and Margaret will greet you with a welcome cup of tea or coffee and scones. Our popular, hearty traditional breakfast, is prepared using a range of local produce where possible and will set you up for the day ahead!

Tea and coffee making facilities are availble in guests rooms, but you are also very welcome to enjoy a hot drink in the beautifully appointed dining room whilst relaxing over a book or reading your newspaper or simply discussing your day.

Burton Court, popular for weddings, is a little over one mile away, in a narrow unlit lane. As an added service we would be pleased to collect you free of charge from this venue at the end of the reception, thus avoiding the inconvenience of arranging and waiting for the limited taxi transport available.

We would like to point out that we are situated in a quiet, residential cul-de-sac and ask that out of respect to our neighbours, guests returning home late at night do so quietly.
